Announcing the 2014 Bookie Awards Nominees!

A WORD ABOUT THE BOOKIES:

Each year, we get TONS of nominees, but only some make the cut.

This is how we do it…

~ Any ballot that has less than 15 individual noms gets cut.

~ Any ballot that has the SAME author through the entire thing gets cut.

~Any identical ballots get cut, especially if they are consecutive in a row.

~ Any categories that don’t have enough noms get cut.

Nominations that were counted were ones with two or more ballot noms for an author or book. Please bear all of this in mind when the nominations go out.

Once the ballot is ready for voting, we’ll post the link on both Facebook and the AAD blog.

Congrats to all the nominees!

Kudos on having Author Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter World nominated. That being said, I think that she is one of the MOST Accessible Authors along with her Official Website being one of the most EPIC & well maintained & up to date out there!

Ash:

Readers nominated for each category. They didn't nominate her for Most accessible Author so shes not up for the award. I believe she has been nominated in the past for it though, along with the website.

And I believe shes WON in the past as well, but as she hasn't attended the event, she hasn't gotten an award.

Very excited to be nominated ... thank you :-)

NA Novel of the Year & NA Series of the Year! Whoa.

Thank you so much.

It's an honor to be a nominee. <3

I think that Dark Hunter & Sherrilyn Kenyon is the best, and her website verry useful.
Sherri, created a new world for fans with DH.

Very few that are nominated are authors that I read. Can't believe that Cherise Sinclair, Maya Banks, Dixie Lynn Dwyer and Leah Brooke are not even nominate.
smh*

Stella Price said...

Hi Gail,

Please remember that the nominations were the direct result of ballots by readers. If you do not see the authors you think should be here, its because either no one or not enough people nominated them. Nominations were open for ONE MONTH and we had over 345 ballots this year.

thanks!
